This Pukekohe subdivision involved the development of 141 residential lots over 3 stages. CKL put the resident at the heart of the planning process and created connectivity to the surrounding environment. We preserved an existing stream and created a ‘green corridor’ which serves a stormwater management function as well as a recreational function. We consulted with Auckland Transport and designed a wider roading layout to accommodate buses, private vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists. Flexibility was built into the design of the streetscapes, allowing the final owners to decide upon the placement of driveways according to their house design and build plan.
