Nicola Black

Nicola brings a broad range of experience to CKL, having started her career in surveying before transitioning into civil engineering. Her work has encompassed infrastructure and land development projects of varying scales and complexities, giving her a strong understanding of the technical and practical considerations involved at every stage of project delivery.

Her project experience includes serving as civil lead for two of the three Drury rail stations, a significant transport infrastructure development supporting the growth of Auckland's southern communities.

As Engineering Manager, Nicola leads CKL's Hamilton engineering team, working closely with the wider multidisciplinary teams across the Waikato, Auckland and Bay of Plenty to deliver practical, integrated solutions for clients.

Nicola was drawn to CKL by its strong reputation and the opportunity to contribute to projects in the region she calls home. She particularly values being part of a team whose work has a visible impact on local communities and looks forward to building on CKL's established presence in the Waikato.
