Daan Blokker

Throughout his career, Daan has worked across a broad range of planning disciplines, including resource consents, plan changes, reserves planning, designations, feasibility assessments and project management. His experience on both sides of the planning process allows him to provide clients with pragmatic advice that balances planning requirements with development objectives.

At CKL, Daan is responsible for leading the Hamilton planning team, overseeing the preparation and peer review of technical planning assessments for feasibility studies, resource consent applications and policy projects. He also acts as project manager on a range of complex land development projects, working closely with clients, councils and multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, efficient and commercially focused planning outcomes.

Before joining CKL, Daan was a Senior Parks Planner at Hamilton City Council, where he led planning initiatives for the parks team. His local government experience provides valuable insight into council processes and decision-making, helping clients navigate complex planning pathways with greater confidence and clarity.
