Andrew Carline

Andrew brings more than three decades’ experience in the consulting engineering industry, including an extensive background in civil engineering. His career has encompassed large-scale greenfield and brownfield developments, major transport and infrastructure projects, and work across the energy, healthcare and education sectors.

His project experience includes major developments such as the Northcote and Oranga neighbourhoods and Drury South, as well as significant transport projects including Auckland Light Rail, Tauranga Eastern Link, Mt Messenger Bypass and the SH16 Lincoln Road Interchange. His broader experience ranges from geothermal power and offshore energy projects to cycleways, hospitals, universities and schools.

Andrew was drawn to CKL by its people, culture and scale, and enjoys the opportunity to contribute his experience while remaining closely connected to projects and the people delivering them. He particularly enjoys getting out on site and seeing projects take shape around the country.

Outside of work, Andrew is a passionate motorsport fan, particularly Formula 1, and previously ran a popular New Zealand motorsport website. He also occasionally contributes to Sport Nation Breakfast and, more recently, has taken up golf.
