An easy 30-minute drive from downtown Hamilton, Lockerbie Estate in Morrinsville is perfect for people who want to stay connected to Hamilton but live in a small town where the sense of community is strong and the kids can walk to school or the park.

Construction for stage one, featuring 85 homes, kicked off in June 2020 and all homes sold with residents moving in mid 2021.

Once complete, the 79ha development between Studholme St, Taukoro Rd and Stirling Dr will feature 700 residential homes on 350-800sqm sections. The houses range from $600,000 to over $1 million. The development will also include a retirement village, walking track, public park and a one-acre neighbourhood centre comprising a destination playground, cafe and childcare.

The design emphasis is on easy, stress-free small town life combined with the low maintenance requirements of a new home. That means more time and headspace to enjoy family life and a relaxed lifestyle, while also being connected to the city and a vibrant community.

CKL has prepared Integrated Transportation Assessments to support the subdivision and resource consenting process for each stage of development, whilst keeping a very clear eye on the big picture.

This included identification of future road upgrades and new intersections early on in the development process, giving the developer the knowledge of when they need to plan the works to support the development build out.

CKL’s transportation and civil engineering teams also provided design advice for a tricky roundabout retro-fit in a tightly constrained location, with challenging levels.
