Just west of Tauranga, on the fringes of the rapidly expanding Tauriko industrial area, CKL has recently completed a three-lot rural-residential subdivision that demonstrates the value of a coordinated, multi-disciplinary approach.
The site presented its share of challenges, from rolling topography and access constraints to the need for bespoke on-site servicing solutions. But with careful planning and collaboration between CKL’s Surveying, Planning, Civil, Environmental, and Transport Engineering teams, the project was delivered smoothly from concept to new titles in under twelve months.
Adding to the project’s complexity was a recent jurisdictional change from the Western Bay of Plenty District Council to Tauranga City Council, and a zone shift from Rural to Rural-Residential. CKL’s Tauranga team navigated these transitions effectively, working closely with council planners and external specialists, including a geotechnical engineer and wastewater consultant (OSET), to ensure a robust and compliant outcome for the client.
With new titles issued and lots soon to be released to market, the project highlights CKL’s growing footprint in the Bay of Plenty region, and the strength of its integrated services in helping landowners unlock value from their properties.
