On a foggy morning in June, the Ngāruawāhia community came together to bless Festival Way, a new road that symbolises growth, resilience, and connection.
CKL was proud to partner with Waikato District Council on this milestone project, delivering full-service support from concept design to construction monitoring.
The project includes:
✔ A brand-new road to unlock housing development in Ngāruawāhia North
✔ A newly constructed roundabout to improve safety and traffic flow
✔ Water-sensitive stormwater infrastructure to protect the Waikato River
What made this project so special?
It wasn’t just the engineering; it was the collaboration. From working closely with Mana Whenua and local contractors to navigating complex environmental consents, Festival Way is a true example of what can be achieved when shared vision meets technical expertise.
As Waikato District Council Mayor Jacqui Church said at the opening:
“We are proud to officially open Festival Way and the new roundabout, key infrastructure that enables growth, enhances safety, and strengthens our connection to the wider district.”
We look forward to seeing this resilient infrastructure support the people of Ngāruawāhia for generations to come.
