For more than 30 years, CKL has supported New Zealand property owners and developers with surveying, planning, engineering, and environmental advice and expertise.

We partner with individual land owners, property developers, councils and government agencies to provide fully integrated land development solutions including planning, surveying, civil engineering, roading and transport engineering, environmental engineering, and stormwater engineering services.

CKL was formed in 1988 by a partnership between John Carter, Rod Keucke, and David Latham. The small Waikato based team was built on strong family values of respect, support and collaboration. Our people centric values continue to this day.

Diversity and inclusiveness is celebrated at CKL. We value excellence, innovation, courage and integrity, and foster a work environment where people can bring their whole selves to work and enjoy what they do. Today we celebrate a team of over 100 talented and passionate individuals across four office locations – Auckland, Hamilton, Te Awamutu and Tauranga. Each team member brings a unique skill set to CKL, our clients, and our projects.

CKL’s continued business growth and success is something we are very proud of. We have never been afraid to diversify our offering to meet the changing needs of the industry and to expand the business to better serve our clients. In 2015, CKL merged with Stormwater Solutions Consulting Limited, bringing considerable environmental engineering, water sensitive design, and three waters engineering expertise into the business. At this time, Bronwyn Rhynd joined the Director team, becoming CKL’s first female director. Since then, we have further expanded our service offering with dedicated transportation engineering expertise. We continue to stay at the forefront of the industry; harnessing new technology such as drone scanning combined with Structure Form Motion (SFM) photogrammetry techniques to provide working 3D models of sites.

Our innovative thinking and commitment to excellence translates to strong client partnerships and outstanding results. By challenging norms and pushing boundaries, we continue to set new standards and redefine international best practice.
